A Frightening Case of PRP: How One Child Left Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris Behind

"Have you heard of PRP Hair Treatment in Dubai? Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris?" the woman asked on the phone. "This is a rare skin disease. My daughter is covered with it from head to toe." Ally, 9 years old, has been healthy until a few days after her birthday audition. According to her mother, Ally's symptoms started with flushing and dry face; she also appeared to be dehydrated. Mother painted baby oil at the time, it was useless. Within a few days, the rash began to turn white and peel; it also moved to his scalp.

She was taken to a pediatrician, who diagnosed her as having eczema and gave her a topical steroid cream (fluocinolone acetone 0.01%) and a medicinal shampoo (Capex). After applying the cream, she developed a severe burning sensation at the application site. Ally was sent to the emergency room for treatment and evaluation; the cream was discontinued; no other treatment was given. Medicated shampoos can only temporarily relieve the itching and flaking of the scalp. Within 2 weeks, the white scaly rash spread to other parts of her body. Red dots appeared in some areas, but not all of them. The itching continued to be severe, and the peeling was also severe. Later, Ellie was taken to see a dermatologist. After the biopsy, he was diagnosed with pityriasis pilaris (PRP).

The treatment recommended by the dermatologist was investigated by the mother. Because she didn't like the side effects and ineffectiveness of the medicine; my mother asked me to work with Ally. Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris, also known as PRP, is a group of skin diseases characterized by severe desquamation of the skin, which may include orange or red spots and keratotic follicular papules, as well as thickening of the skin on the hands and feet.

PRP usually first appears in childhood; the cause is unknown. The prevailing view is that streptococcal infections will trigger an autoimmune response, while other experts believe that the cause is more genetic. Recently, HIV-related types have been added to the list of possible causes. Since there is no medical cure for this condition, the symptoms can be treated with medication; the goal is to keep emergencies to a minimum and keep the patient in remission for as long as possible.

The most commonly used drugs are Accutane (Isotretinoin) or Trexall (Methotrexate). Due to the severe side effects of methotrexate, this drug is usually reserved for people who do not respond to Accutane, but neither of these drugs is recommended for young children like Ally. This is something I don't know. When choosing homeopathic medicine for a person, the common symptoms of the disease are not as important as the uncommon symptoms. Therefore, I need to know what usually happens to people who are diagnosed with PRP.

Although I have seen many photos, I was shocked when I saw the boy for the first time. She was really covered by the white flakes. Any activity causes scales to fall on the floor, chairs, and symptoms everywhere (the underline is unique to Ally, not a disease): severe itching of the skin, dry skin, whitening of the skin, white scales falling from the body during the visit , Worse when scratching, worse when doing any exercise, the whole body is covered, including the scalp, the back is worse, the thighs and calves have no torso and the red raised areas on the back are irritable; it is difficult for her to stay still and she keeps scratching, especially She scratched her back as much as she could, despite the cold winter temperature, she was still wearing short sleeves, pants and a thin waistcoat
